What Is Love?

November 6, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Fact

-Love is an emotion, a biological occurrence, and a metaphysical state at the same time! It feels good, it’s very healthy for us, and we can observe it in its metaphysical state through meditation and psychedelics!

Intro

Baby don’t hurt me… Baby don’t hurt me… No more! 😉

Hi, future self! Some events recently happened in my life that made me very angry, and I realized that people who lack heart can be very, very frustrating. I feel as if the only expectation I have for other people is that they treat living beings with love and respect, and somehow some key people in my life decided they wouldn’t treat living beings with love and respect. Not only did it piss me off but my financial situation suffered from their heartless actions as well.

Everything going on reminded me of the question I had thought about many times in the past: “what is love?” After remembering what I concluded I decided to write it down and share it with those who matter, just in case these high-quality people want it. I am going to encourage them to be the best people they can possibly be, even though I feel sad and angry towards those with no heart.

Take care of yourself, future self!

-Gabriel

P.S., don’t forget to take the trash out soon.

What Is Love?

In my opinion, this is one of the most important questions we can find an answer to today! After using my rational mind to ponder about it I’ve come to a multi-dimensional conclusion that is probably quite accurate:

-Love is regenerative and life-giving/enabling by nature.

-Love is green and white energy in its purest form.

-Love can be a feeling and/or a conceptual understanding.

-Love is acting out of this feeling and/or conceptual understanding.

I feel as if the one solid rule is that feelings and actions must be regenerative in order for them to be considered loving. By regenerative I mean positive and/or enabling of life (in the short-term or long-term) speaking of all planes we exist in (psychological, emotional, and physical). If someone says “I love you” but their vibe is anger they may still love you in the sense that they physically take care of you. However, if they say “I love you,” diligently work to manipulate you, and be regenerative in a physical matter, most would say that there isn’t enough love in the relationship to make it worthwhile.

And what do I mean that love is green and white energy in its purest form? It seems like love isn’t just green and white energy, but that many kinds of emotions can be regenerative (therefore loving). Green and white is the rawest form of love (at least to me), but vibrant yellow energy certainly has its place among us!

One of my more recent conclusions is that love can be felt or understood through conceptual thought. A lot of us only understand what love is through our logical minds, as we do things that we know we’re supposed to do. Many couples act out what they should do without the emotion of love behind their actions, and while this works it’s partly why so many couples are miserable in their relationships.

And of course, the action itself. Love grows stronger once actions are performed in a loving way because, while love is completely fulfilling to ourselves without having to do anything, it also seems like it exists to be shared with others around us!

How Can We Develop Into Love?

So, so many of us are right on the edge of being able to give and receive love and it really grips me!

Something that’s interesting about love is that the feeling can be brought about by our logical minds! We can think thoughts such as “I choose to feel loving” and, even if it takes consistent effort, we will soon be able to actually feel love in its rawest form. This seems to work better if you imagine green and white energy flowing through and into your body while you’re making the conscious choice!

But while we’re doing this we may come across some internal resistance. If you’re anything like me then you didn’t receive a lot of love growing up, and trying to become loving in spite of that sparked much resistance that had to be overcome. How does one overcome their internal resistance? How I do it is:

-The resistance appears, and I can see it in my mind because my 3rd eye is open. Usually, it’s a dark-colored blob of energy.

-If it’s accompanied by a thought I listen to what the thought has to say. If not, I ask it “who are you?” I question it until I understand the core belief that’s resisting against the energy I want to summon.

-Once I understand the core belief I think/say, “I choose to disidentify from this belief. I choose to disidentify from the need for this belief. I choose to stop believing this.” Sometimes I’ll replace it with another belief or a choice, “I choose to summon green and white energy! I choose to believe that I can do so despite my subconscious resistance!”

The Afterward

It could very well be that everything I’ve written above is simply what I know because it’s only useful to me in my personal journey. However, since I enjoy sharing love I’ve written about it anyway just in case it resonates with you, just in case any of this happens to be an objective fact! It’s difficult for me to understand what my personal journey entails and if anything I’ve found is objectively true and good for you to know!

Spirituality: What Is It?

October 30, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-There are different levels of realization within the spiritual realm. Some are deeper and more thorough than others!

-Having the intention to open our 3rd eye more and more is the quickest and most effective way to understand what spirituality is!

Intro

Spirituality is something that’s been experienced and discussed for many, many, many years. Some people have many spiritual experiences, some don’t have any, and some even vehemently deny any kind of spirituality altogether.

I am writing from the perspective of someone who isn’t spiritual in nature but who is receiving spiritual experiences anyway. These experiences are so intense and so meaningful that I don’t even want to talk about them for fear of trivializing them – instead, I’ll write about the modern-day view of spirituality, what the point of spirituality is, and all about opening our 3rd eye. Enjoy the read!

Modern Day Spirituality

In 2020, spirituality isn’t very prominent on our planet at large. There are certain countries and certain groups within most countries who are spiritually inclined, however, the majority of the world isn’t very spiritual, rather it is religious; they believe, and believing is one step away from true spirituality, even though it certainly has its place.

Modern-day spirituality largely consists of astrology, special physical things (such as crystals), conscious tattoos, ecology, and spiritual wear (dresses, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc). If someone has/knows of these things but they do not have an open mind, they are participating in a shallow (but meaningful) depth of spirituality.

Some people go deeper and master the art of medicine, move to countries that are more spiritually minded, grow special plants and mushrooms, commit their lives to their beliefs, consciously seek out conscious knowledge, etc, etc. If someone does these things but they do not have an open mind, they’re participating in a deeper (more meaningful) depth of spirituality. This is as far as most people go and it suffices to cover spirituality as it’s perceived and acted out by most modern-day people.

What About The Most Meaningful Spirituality?

The most meaningful spirituality, as it’s perceived by me, is when your mind is open, all of your beliefs are gone, and when your 3rd eye is open. After all of this, it simply depends on the intensity and complexity of which feelings are felt and visions are seen, which is why psychedelic substances are so powerful and meaningful – they offer you the opportunity to ramp it up to an 11.

What does having an open mind mean? I opened my mind by choosing to have an open mind, and the difference between then and now is then, I couldn’t control my feelings or actions and I didn’t have a lot of imagination/spiritual experiences. Now that I’ve decided to have an open mind I can control my feelings and actions (even though it’s sometimes difficult), I have a very strong imagination, and I have many spiritual experiences that especially happen when I’m asleep. I imagine that having an open mind is relatively the same for you, although I think that exactly what you experience will be far different than what I’ve experienced.

What about when all of your beliefs are gone? You can have your 3rd eye open but having tons of beliefs (especially detrimental beliefs) will limit the amount of spirituality you experience and they will also determine how you live your life altogether. It’s possible to disidentify from each and every belief you possess (even the subconscious ones), and what will be left? Some people call it God, some people call it death, some people call it I, some people call it source…

And what about when your 3rd eye is open? Having your 3rd eye open simply means you can see and experience spiritual happenings within your own body (your head, to be exact). It’s hard to be bored when your 3rd eye is open because you’ll be having amazing dreams, meaningful meditative experiences, and you’ll see all kinds of things even if you don’t ask for them! DMT (dimethyltryptamine) is the physical chemical that stimulates the opening of the 3rd eye, if you smoke enough of it you’ll have an experience that transcends meaning itself. Don’t believe me? Try it.

Truly spiritual people don’t believe, far from it – they observe what’s happening in their heads, first and foremost. Carl Jung was asked if he believed in God, and he responded with “I don’t need to believe, I know.” Mind you, he wasn’t necessarily stating that he believed in God, what he was saying was something akin to, “I understand what you’re trying to say because I have personally experienced more than what you’re aiming to comprehend.”

They observe meaningful and intense experiences, and often these people have the more emotionally rich lives, like Terrence McKenna. Their massive insight and emotional (and usually intellectual) maturity often influence their emotions in a positive way, which means they’re very polarizing to other people – some people enjoy intelligence/positive emotion and some do not!

Truly spiritual people can regress back into the other parts of spirituality (as well as anything) should they want to. Usually, they can regress without becoming possessed or consumed by the relative unconsciousness, although sometimes this happens as well.

The Point of Spirituality

Is there a point to dancing? Is there an objective, or a place to end up at? No, we dance for the feeling, the experience – we don’t meditate because there’s a point, but because we wish to experience, and feel.

I say the only thing to really do is open your 3rd eye, and that the rest (of your life) comes naturally. Opening your 3rd eye is a combination of good consistent psychological choices (“I choose to open my 3rd eye,”), a healthy diet, and good caretaking of your mind and body. Be healthy and make the right choices, essentially!

Many people become spiritual because they wish to heal from psychological and emotional pain, and that may be a solid reason to begin! However, spirituality gets even crazier once all of your psychological stuff is healed, so be prepared for that 😉

Opening Your 3rd Eye

First of all, should you? Or is it better to stay away from it? If you’re already on the path there’s no turning back but if you haven’t begun yet, I suggest consistently exercising and doing what’s best for yourself and others. We don’t need to open our 3rd eye to live a meaningful life on this planet, just the simple things will do – no sugar, no processed meat, no obsession with negative opinions and negativity in general (older people, I’m talking to you!).

But if you’re going to open your 3rd eye anyway, it’s… Interesting to say the least. Much meaning flows and spirituality becomes a felt reality instead of an abstract belief system, and sometimes it even turns into a practice. Like I mentioned above it’s a choice that you make – will you choose the blue pill or the red pill? Many people tell you the red pill is the way to do – I’m here to tell you that either pill will work in your favor if you stay healthy and make the right decisions 🙂

Conclusion

Thank you for reading and I’ll see you in the next article! Just make sure to meditate a while before reading some more 😉

The Importance of Feelings, Their Place in Our Experience

October 26, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Fact

-Feelings have an important place in our existence, and if we listen to them we’ll be shown exactly what they are!

Intro

I understand that we’re evolving into a world where feelings are becoming greatly valued by many people, especially in America. This is interesting since we have a long and brutal history of war and famine, why would we evolve from that into conscious human beings? Perhaps more interestingly, how?

While these questions interest me I suspect the answers will not come freely. I will content myself with writing a post about feelings and their place in our experience. I’ll write about what they are, what they can be used for, and perhaps I’ll touch on the danger of valuing them too much and too lightly. Here we go!

What Are Feelings?

What are they, exactly? This is a question I greatly encourage you to ponder – are they sensations? If so, what are sensations? Are they light? Are they heavy?

It seems to me as if feelings are simply feelings, although this can be construed as a cop-out answer; they can be thought of as guides towards and away from something or experiences that, when totaled up, comprise the ride we call “life.”

If you believe a feeling to be a guide you’re probably interested in the concept of intuition, and if you consider a feeling as an experience you’ll probably take them for granted in place of other things, such as usefulness and logic. Both perspectives can tilt too far in one direction, but I’ll elaborate more on that below.

In most cases, feelings are what you believe they are, and in most cases, you can control them to your choosing. In one particular case, however, looking at your feelings from an objective standpoint and not believing anything about them at all seems to bring the best and most accurate description of what they really are – at least, that’s how it works for me!

What Feelings Can Point To

Feelings are often (if not always) the result and not the cause. If you decide to walk to the kitchen the decision comes first, then the feeling of your foot as it hits the floor.

This observation is extremely useful when seen in the context of negative emotion created as a result of detrimental beliefs. When going through the individuation process it’s important to pay attention to your feelings but it’s also important to pay attention to the underlying belief (or, most likely, beliefs) that are creating the emotion. Choosing to stop believing these beliefs and even choosing to replace them with new ones is the second part of the meditative process that isn’t spoken of very often.

Feelings can point to physical ailments as well; I’ve made the mistake of believing a feeling to be caused by a negative belief structure when it was simply stress and tension. Cannabis helps with confusion like this as it can clear your mind and help you pinpoint exactly what the problem is, especially with intent (“I choose to smoke so that I may find the root(s) of my problem(s)”).

Using Your Feelings As Guides (Intuition)

It seems that if you consider feelings to be guides instead of simply experiences to be experienced you’ll experience a greater realization of yourself, also called “enlightenment.” Intuition is the word that describes this process and I’ve written about it in more detail here.

Intuition, for me, is me telling myself what I ought to know at the moment. For me it’s a spontaneous message that appears as a thought, feeling, or both about something I learned in the past but that slipped into my subconscious. I’m not sure if this is a perfectly objective explanation of intuition but it may be.

I’ve made a habit of not taking my feelings for granted and focusing on them instead. If I feel a “low” or “heavy” feeling I’ll pay attention to it and see what it has to show me, otherwise I’m ignoring them, and in the past, that’s brought me much suffering, definitely something I don’t wish to repeat. I encourage you to do the same as well, however, I also encourage you to read the next section since it’s more applicable today than ever before.

The Potential To Be Possessed by Your Feelings and How To Overcome Them

There is a possibility that you and I can tilt too far in the direction of the feminine and value our feelings far, far too much. I call this being possessed by your feelings and this is usually dangerous and detrimental since logic has a high-vibrational place in our existence.

In fact, I just dealt with this a moment ago – I woke up from a dream where my friends and I were at a party. We were flirting and having a good time, but the meaningful part was at the end – I was in a house searching for a woman. I looked everywhere until finally, I found her! I separated from my body, she and I kissed, and we closed the bedroom door.

Except, what? I separated from myself right before the good part? What was that all about?

After I did some self-questioning I remembered that I created an “anti-sexual vibrational monster” when I was younger because of my… Less than ideal childhood. I realized that I had not only been carrying it around but that I was really possessed by it, and that the feeling separated me from my body right when I found and kissed her. I chose to disidentify with it and, in this scenario, I imagined myself destroying it – I feel much happier now!

So how do you overcome possession by dangus feelings? Sometimes you’ll have an undesirable dream that’s a dead giveaway, but sometimes you’ll be possessed by a feeling and you won’t even know it! I recommend doing something like this:

-Sit down in a quiet room with no distractions and ask yourself, “Am I being possessed by any of my feelings?”

-Answer yourself honestly. I encourage you to write it/them down.

-Now that you’re aware of the possession you aren’t possessed anymore, so I recommend that you “disidentify” from it. This means you’re choosing to take a step back and see the feeling for what it really is instead of letting it be in control of your actions. Then you can decide whether or not you want to control it or discard it for something better.

Also, you can meditate on the daily, consciously decide to open your 3rd eye regularly, choose to participate in self-healing and self-analysis… I encourage you to do all of these when you feel you want to :).

Striking Balance Between The Masculine (Logic) and The Feminine (Feeling)

As of today, it’s an unpopular opinion with many that logic and masculinity should have a place in our life. If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that logic is the way to solve irrational problems and irrationality is the way to solve problems created by logic. Since this is the case we can use logical thinking to sort out our feelings and irrationality to fulfill us when we’ve finished using our logical brain for the day.

How do we strike such a balance? By consistently making the choice to do so every single day! Follow your intuition but also follow the logical path that’s lined up for you – if you’re missing one or both pieces of the puzzle your life will most definitely go unfulfilled, and it will be far less enjoyable.

Conclusion

Thank you for reading my post! I recommend meditating before reading the next article 🙂

Intelligence and Sexuality: Two Completely Different Dimensions of Being

October 21, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Fact

-Being highly intelligent without the ability to enjoy yourself and being highly sexual without the ability to think ahead isn’t the best combination! However, developing our opposite quality is an amazing idea for experiencing wellbeing, less pain, and more overall fulfillment!

Intro

In this post, I’ll explain why I make such a wild claim, and how it affects our lives. I’ll also explain how to solve this problem if we happen to have one quality and not the other. Enjoy the read!

Beginnings

It’s often the case that intelligent people aren’t in-tune with/able to control their sexuality, and it’s often the case that sexual people… Aren’t able to observe, make solid conclusions, and act accordingly.

Part of this is because intelligence and sexuality are two completely separate dimensions of existence! The intelligent operate in the world of logic and the sexual operate in the world of irrationality. By the way, I sense that many people attach a negative connotation around the word “irrational” and its immediate family – irrational simply means “not logical” or “the world of feeling.”

I also argue that the intelligent have a lot to learn from the sexual and that the sexual have a lot to learn from the intelligent. In fact, I argue that if these two kinds of people don’t study and develop the opposite dimension in their life their quality of life will, in general, be lacking if not completely vacant. And here I go as I make my case!

Opposites? What’s That All About?

I want to put this in the perspective of colors for a moment; intelligence operates on the frequency of purple while sexuality operates on the frequency of orange. The color spectrum goes in the order of ROYGBIV, or red-orange-yellow-green-blue-indigo-violet with red starting at roughly 400THz and violet starting at roughly 668THz (source). This is why the chakra system operates with the root chakra (which is traditionally red) being at the bottom of your body and the ajna chakra (which is traditionally indigo) being at the top of your body. Your being/beliefs/emotions are on a certain point on this spectrum, which means they are represented by a certain color since color is, literally, vibration.

This means that, if your third eye is open, a sexual comment or remark will probably appear orange, and an intelligent remark will appear purple. And, since orange is on the other side of the color spectrum than intelligence they come across to each other as being foreign and not understandable.

And no, intelligence isn’t “better” than sexuality because it’s higher on the frequency chart, they’re simply two wavelengths. Neither is good or bad until we add our own connotations to them. It’s just that these two wavelengths, in particular, can synergize well with each other if and when they decide to learn from each other and develop their opposite qualities within themselves.

Intelligence

It seems to me that many intelligent people do not focus on the sexual parts of themselves because they’re always focused on other things. Perhaps they’re thinking, perhaps they have other matters to attend to, perhaps they believe that sexuality is to be transcended/not worth paying any attention to. Either way, I’ve noticed that a lot of otherwise intelligent people go empty-handed when it comes to sexual matters and that the intelligent can benefit from fulfilling their sexual desires more than most people.

What can an intelligent person gain from developing their sexuality? Well, many things:

-The ability and willingness to create (in general)

-How to relax and have a good time (in general)

-The ability to convey their information in a fun and natural way.

-The ability to flirt and (surprise!) have fulfilling sex!

-The ability to control their sexual urges, fulfill them, and keep them from subconsciously controlling their life.

And besides this, it’s fairly easy to sexually develop even if you’re starting from scratch: pay attention to your fantasies and desires, learn what you like during sex and masturbation, consciously create that feeling of playfulness/passion during meditation and you’ll be going leaps and bounds!

Sexuality

I’ve seen many people who are highly sexual and also highly destructive to other people’s lives. These are the kinds of people who ought to develop their intelligence if for no other reason than to be a pleasure in people’s lives instead of a pain. Also, developing your intelligence will enable you to be highly seductive since seduction requires well-developed sexuality as well as calculated movement.

What can a sexual person gain from developing their intelligence?

-The ability to effectively flirt and seduce.

-The ability to be a pleasure in people’s lives without destroying themselves and others!

-The ability to think, speak and write effectively are strong qualities in and of themselves.

-Impulse control if necessary!

It seems as if it’s harder for sexual people to develop their intelligence than it is for intelligent people to develop their sexuality. Nevertheless, if you’re more sexual than intellectual, I highly encourage you to learn, think, and come to your own conclusions about things so that you can live a more fulfilled life!

One Without The Other Often Creates Pain

A line I say in my upcoming book is “abstraction without satisfaction is precisely miserable.” Sure, I’ll be talking about love when I say that (which is green energy) but it applies to sexuality as well.

On the other hand, most of us have seen or experienced what it’s like to act on sexual feelings without thinking of or preparing for the possible consequences. To only be a sexual being with little logical intelligence is just as if not more miserable.

I sound blunt and to the point when I say these things but I mean it! I’m tired of seeing you guys in pain, both of you! I’m tired of being told that “everything’s okay” when I can clearly see that it’s not. I want both of you, both kinds of people, to develop the dimension that’s opposite of the one you inhabit because it’ll be one of the best things you’ll ever do for yourself!

Examples

The most prominent example I can think of is me. I used to be very, very sexually undeveloped until I read this $19.99 pamphlet that’s on sale and that you should buy instantly before it’s gone in 1 hour!

*Smiles*

No, I paid attention to my fantasies, did some exploring, found out who and what I like, learned how to create and control massive amounts of sexual energy, and learned how to properly flirt. I thought it was a waste of time to do this since my life was otherwise very solid, but when I figured out exactly how much was hidden away in my subconscious I’m very glad that I went through with it…

Nowadays I’m much happier, able to control my impulses well, and I’m able to control my sexuality and inject it into my work instead of letting it control me. Since developing my opposite characteristic helped me so much I recommend you develop your opposite characteristic as well 🙂

Conclusion

Thank you for reading! This is an unconventional view on these two polarities and I hope I haven’t made you uncomfortable. At the same time, I hope you take my suggestion to heart and consider how it applies in your life! I’ll see you in the next article!

Why Your Dreams Are Important, and How They Can Help You Become Healthy

February 3, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-Dreams can be used as a window into your subconscious! This is extremely useful for shadow work, and otherwise enjoying ourselves!

-We can either take control of our dreams and consciously use them to become more mentally healthy, or we can let the dream take control and write down the events when we wake up.

-Then, we can deduce what we want to change, and change it!

Intro

First, I recommend you read/listen to Carl Jung’s work titled “Approaching the Unconscious” and then his following work “Man and His Symbols.” Carl Jung has studied this subject in far greater detail than I could ever hope to cover today, and after you read them you may even find that you don’t need to read this post at all!

Second, if you’ve come back after reading his work, I would like to remind you that dream interpretation is still very new and it relies on a highly intuitive process that has little (if no) scientific basis whatsoever. We cannot exactly explain how or why dreams give us the pockets of meaning that they do, but we can definitely talk about what dreams are, why dreams are important, what they try to tell us, and how we can receive these pockets of meaning for ourselves.

What Are Dreams Exactly?

It seems as if the best modern-day answer for this question is something to the extent of, “a series of images that are created by the mind” or any kind of variant thereof. However, I’ve observed dreams to be far more than this, and I will attempt to answer the question as best as I possibly can:

Dreams can be enjoyable, unpleasant, or a neutral environment in which something must be learned from. They’re messages from yourself to yourself about something you need to attend to in your waking life, and what you remember from each dream is more important than what you don’t remember.

The reason for this definition is because of my personal experiences of having a dream, interpreting it for myself, realizing what I need to realize, and then learning a lesson that I can consciously integrate throughout the day. I haven’t found dreams to be neither random phenomena nor synchronized with waking life, but are phenomena that express their ‘lessons to be learned’ through symbolic representation, and that applying the lessons hidden within are the sole purpose of every dream that’s existed, ever. I will carry this realization through the entirety of this post.

Why Bother?

Why shouldn’t we ignore our dreams and focus on our daily, waking lives? Why can’t we ignore the lessons they’re trying to teach and carry on with what we’re already preoccupied with?

Ignoring the subconscious (aka the part of you that produces the dream and is the dream itself) will only make it scream louder. If screaming doesn’t work then it will control your life from the inside out until you consciously acknowledge the (usually unpleasant) results that it (you) produce(s). Sounds scary, right?

Well, the reality is almost every American alive right now is primarily controlled by their (either repressed or unrealized) subconscious fragments, and that they (the subconscious processes controlling the people) will not stop until they become realized in one way or another.

We get to be this way, of course, because we grow up in a society that doesn’t value imagination, intuitive knowledge (any knowledge?), dreams, or genuine expression of self. Since dreams are experiences meant to inform us of (first individual, then collective) neuroticism then the reason dreams exist is that we stand in the way of our own (and even worse, each other’s) nature enough to become confused, disoriented, and unsure of “the meaning of life.”

But we don’t pay any mind to this so of course more dreams appear and help guide us along the way, but we continue to ignore them as we become more neurotic and unstable, and the cycle can continue indefinitely.

This is why it’s important to listen to the messages your dreams give you and learn as much as you can from them (you). We’re living in a society that doesn’t value mental health, but we as individuals can begin to listen to ourselves and heal from our own personal trauma and then begin to experience and heal the collective trauma. These disturbances, of course, are most likely to be discovered when dreaming and/or day-dreaming. If we do this then we are one step closer to a fulfilled life and a society that truly values health as it is.

How Can We Learn From Our Dreams?

If we read Man and His Symbols we’ll know that each and every part of a dream is a symbolic representation of a part of the self (yourself). Jung was able to say that these symbols represent different “archetypes,” of which cannot be seen, heard, felt, or touched, even after knowing which archetype is represented by each symbol.

I want to simplify it a little bit by adding that what you remember to ask yourself about the dream is what matters the most, since losing the memory of a part of a dream (or even an entire dream) is a sign that you’ve either completely ignored it or processed it in its entirety.

Since what we remember about our dream is important the question arises, “Is the entire dream important despite our emphasis on the parts of it that are important?” The answer is yes; after all, you’re having the dream, and simply losing the memory of it does not necessarily mean that the energy behind the dream has disappeared or even become less important. This is why it’s important to remember as much as we can about every dream – the environment it took place in, the people that were in it, any object that felt like it had significance, etc etc.

When we remember a dream it’s important to ask questions about it in our waking lives. If a person/environment/object feels important then you will answer yourself immediately, and when you put all of the answers together you will have one, integrated, meaningful realization that will probably help you feel amazing for the rest of the day, and will certainly be one more step towards an integrated self. I’d like to give an example of a dream I had the other night that held some significance for me so that I can show you what I mean.

It was nighttime. I was in a very small, swampy area with trees and brush surrounding me on every side except my left side. On my left side was a small, unclimbable hill. There was a cage next to this hill and it held several kinds of animals only two of which I remember – a monkey and a snake. A mysterious man owned the cage and the animals within, and we met and spoke for a while before he disappeared into the brush. I was left alone with the animals, and I could only stare at them before I awoke with the strong urge to interpret the dream.

Every detail in this dream is important – I could have merely mentioned that I was in a swampland but I felt like I had to include the time of day, the brush surrounding me, and the hill that was on my left side. After asking myself the necessary questions I found that the nighttime represented calmness and tranquility, the brush represented a barrier to prevent my possible escape, and the hill represented the nostalgic feeling of climbing it just to see what’s on the other side. The reason it was on my left side was that the right side was beyond the brush and therefore meant doom and suffering.

The cage represents relief since it bars the animals in and prevents them from getting to me. The mysterious man represents a person who is highly evolved, wealthy, and out of reach to me, the common man. He owned the animals. The monkey and the snake represent parts of myself that can further be described as primal action in both the intellectual and physical parts of life, respectively.

Each piece of the dream has been individually interpreted, and now I must put it all together. The tranquility of the situation was a clear indication that the brush surrounding me wasn’t that big of a deal, and simply meant I had to stay there in order to learn something, which is a big step for me since I value freedom very strongly. The hill also aided in the setting of the scene since I enjoy the feeling of nostalgia described above. Since the cage represented relief, since the man who owned the animals was “out of reach,” and since the monkey and the snake both represent primal intellectual and physical activity, the realization to be had here is that I’m relieved that another part of me is taking care of the primal urges so that I (the conscious self) don’t have to.

Of course, the lesson to be learned is that I must integrate with this “caretaker” since he appeared separate from “myself” inside of my dream, and I must take care to consciously notice my primal urges when I’m living in my waking life as well.

Now I have my “duty” for the day and I’ll work at integrating the caretaker into myself. Of course, as a bonus, I get to feel indescribable relief throughout the entire day! Had I simply ignored the dream and gone about my day I would’ve also missed out on becoming more integrated and more developed as an individual, and the more developed and integrated you are the more peace you will experience throughout your life (I’ll explain this further in a future post).

Conclusion

It requires building trust with yourself and being brutally honest with what’s going on, but I can promise you that integrating the lessons learned from your dreams is very beneficial in the short term and the long run alike. I definitely recommend you start interpreting your own dreams as soon as possible so that you may realize yourself more and more every day. Have an amazing day!
