Intelligence and Sexuality: Two Completely Different Dimensions of Being

October 21, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Fact

-Being highly intelligent without the ability to enjoy yourself and being highly sexual without the ability to think ahead isn’t the best combination! However, developing our opposite quality is an amazing idea for experiencing wellbeing, less pain, and more overall fulfillment!

Intro

In this post, I’ll explain why I make such a wild claim, and how it affects our lives. I’ll also explain how to solve this problem if we happen to have one quality and not the other. Enjoy the read!

Beginnings

It’s often the case that intelligent people aren’t in-tune with/able to control their sexuality, and it’s often the case that sexual people… Aren’t able to observe, make solid conclusions, and act accordingly.

Part of this is because intelligence and sexuality are two completely separate dimensions of existence! The intelligent operate in the world of logic and the sexual operate in the world of irrationality. By the way, I sense that many people attach a negative connotation around the word “irrational” and its immediate family – irrational simply means “not logical” or “the world of feeling.”

I also argue that the intelligent have a lot to learn from the sexual and that the sexual have a lot to learn from the intelligent. In fact, I argue that if these two kinds of people don’t study and develop the opposite dimension in their life their quality of life will, in general, be lacking if not completely vacant. And here I go as I make my case!

Opposites? What’s That All About?

I want to put this in the perspective of colors for a moment; intelligence operates on the frequency of purple while sexuality operates on the frequency of orange. The color spectrum goes in the order of ROYGBIV, or red-orange-yellow-green-blue-indigo-violet with red starting at roughly 400THz and violet starting at roughly 668THz (source). This is why the chakra system operates with the root chakra (which is traditionally red) being at the bottom of your body and the ajna chakra (which is traditionally indigo) being at the top of your body. Your being/beliefs/emotions are on a certain point on this spectrum, which means they are represented by a certain color since color is, literally, vibration.

This means that, if your third eye is open, a sexual comment or remark will probably appear orange, and an intelligent remark will appear purple. And, since orange is on the other side of the color spectrum than intelligence they come across to each other as being foreign and not understandable.

And no, intelligence isn’t “better” than sexuality because it’s higher on the frequency chart, they’re simply two wavelengths. Neither is good or bad until we add our own connotations to them. It’s just that these two wavelengths, in particular, can synergize well with each other if and when they decide to learn from each other and develop their opposite qualities within themselves.

Intelligence

It seems to me that many intelligent people do not focus on the sexual parts of themselves because they’re always focused on other things. Perhaps they’re thinking, perhaps they have other matters to attend to, perhaps they believe that sexuality is to be transcended/not worth paying any attention to. Either way, I’ve noticed that a lot of otherwise intelligent people go empty-handed when it comes to sexual matters and that the intelligent can benefit from fulfilling their sexual desires more than most people.

What can an intelligent person gain from developing their sexuality? Well, many things:

-The ability and willingness to create (in general)

-How to relax and have a good time (in general)

-The ability to convey their information in a fun and natural way.

-The ability to flirt and (surprise!) have fulfilling sex!

-The ability to control their sexual urges, fulfill them, and keep them from subconsciously controlling their life.

And besides this, it’s fairly easy to sexually develop even if you’re starting from scratch: pay attention to your fantasies and desires, learn what you like during sex and masturbation, consciously create that feeling of playfulness/passion during meditation and you’ll be going leaps and bounds!

Sexuality

I’ve seen many people who are highly sexual and also highly destructive to other people’s lives. These are the kinds of people who ought to develop their intelligence if for no other reason than to be a pleasure in people’s lives instead of a pain. Also, developing your intelligence will enable you to be highly seductive since seduction requires well-developed sexuality as well as calculated movement.

What can a sexual person gain from developing their intelligence?

-The ability to effectively flirt and seduce.

-The ability to be a pleasure in people’s lives without destroying themselves and others!

-The ability to think, speak and write effectively are strong qualities in and of themselves.

-Impulse control if necessary!

It seems as if it’s harder for sexual people to develop their intelligence than it is for intelligent people to develop their sexuality. Nevertheless, if you’re more sexual than intellectual, I highly encourage you to learn, think, and come to your own conclusions about things so that you can live a more fulfilled life!

One Without The Other Often Creates Pain

A line I say in my upcoming book is “abstraction without satisfaction is precisely miserable.” Sure, I’ll be talking about love when I say that (which is green energy) but it applies to sexuality as well.

On the other hand, most of us have seen or experienced what it’s like to act on sexual feelings without thinking of or preparing for the possible consequences. To only be a sexual being with little logical intelligence is just as if not more miserable.

I sound blunt and to the point when I say these things but I mean it! I’m tired of seeing you guys in pain, both of you! I’m tired of being told that “everything’s okay” when I can clearly see that it’s not. I want both of you, both kinds of people, to develop the dimension that’s opposite of the one you inhabit because it’ll be one of the best things you’ll ever do for yourself!

Examples

The most prominent example I can think of is me. I used to be very, very sexually undeveloped until I read this $19.99 pamphlet that’s on sale and that you should buy instantly before it’s gone in 1 hour!

*Smiles*

No, I paid attention to my fantasies, did some exploring, found out who and what I like, learned how to create and control massive amounts of sexual energy, and learned how to properly flirt. I thought it was a waste of time to do this since my life was otherwise very solid, but when I figured out exactly how much was hidden away in my subconscious I’m very glad that I went through with it…

Nowadays I’m much happier, able to control my impulses well, and I’m able to control my sexuality and inject it into my work instead of letting it control me. Since developing my opposite characteristic helped me so much I recommend you develop your opposite characteristic as well 🙂

Conclusion

Thank you for reading! This is an unconventional view on these two polarities and I hope I haven’t made you uncomfortable. At the same time, I hope you take my suggestion to heart and consider how it applies in your life! I’ll see you in the next article!

The Intelligent, The Mystic, and the Entertainer: The Triad of Enlightenment

October 20, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Fact

-The mystics, the intelligent, and the entertainers can come together and produce an incredible amount of enlightenment and positive energy!

Intro

In my searching and with my experiences I’ve discovered that the mystic, the intelligent, and the entertainer can (and sometimes do) work together to produce a large amount of enlightenment. Why, how, and how can we use this knowledge to enhance our wellbeing even more than we already do? Read on to find out!

Overview

I began thinking about which archetypes are the most enlightening – is it the tyrant who makes your life harder, therefore makes you stronger? Is it the anxious woman who inadvertently shows you the value of your own confidence? Is it the grandmother/grandfather? Is it the father/mother? Is it the child?

Of course, each kind of person has their own unique qualities that help themselves and others, however, three stick out as being particularly enlightening and necessary for our survival and expansion:

The Intelligent, the Mystic, and the Entertainer.

How can we learn and apply life lessons without intelligence? How can we expand our consciousness without being able to open our third eye? How can we enjoy life if we aren’t able to be entertained?

These kinds of people can easily be seen as vessels of pleasure and enlightenment when compared to other kinds of people! Sit back and enjoy as I make my case for something that we may already know somewhere in the deep waters of our psyche.

Why These Three?

We wake up and do tasks. Some of us do the same (or roughly the same) tasks every day.

Many of us are acting out archetypes that encourage ourselves and others to keep doing tasks. This, in and of itself, is why anyone who doesn’t encourage the completion of tasks is closer to enlightenment than anyone who does encourage the completion of tasks.

Part of this is because many of us consider tasks to be “boring,” “dull,” “monotonous,” etc and part of it is because there is so much meaning to be found when we do not continue with our tasks but instead fall into thinking, meditation, or entertainment even without a negative opinion of them. Yes, everyone has their redeeming qualities, but those who break free of routine (and the obsession thereof) and encourage others to see past it as well deserve their own special place in our society.

The ones who can do this the best, as it seems to me, are the intelligent, the mystic, and the entertaining.

Perhaps these three are completing tasks while their qualities shine – it isn’t necessarily the case that they must stand still and do nothing, but it’s the knowledge, consciousness, and positive feelings they give while doing such tasks. They can see past doing tasks for the sake of doing tasks (as well as the obsession and constant pushing to do such) and they can argue that doing/being other things provides far more meaning… And be correct!

This is why these three are so important – they tell us to stop and think, stop and meditate, or to have fun! All of these qualities are great, and they’re even better when they’re together whether it be three separate people or three archetypes within one being! You can have intelligence but if you aren’t conscious or enthusiastic, it won’t go very far. You may be conscious but if you cannot think about it and communicate the value of consciousness others won’t benefit from your sight. And of course, if you’re entertaining but unable to think or understand exactly what you’re doing… That may be the worst of them all ;).

And if you want to say, “but thinking and meditating are tasks” I understand your perspective. It seems most important to stop doing physical tasks first, participate in thinking and/or meditating second, then stop doing anything at all third. My perspective is that thinking and meditating aren’t tasks but are useful ways to experience enlightenment. I’m glad we understand each other :).

The Intelligent

In this scenario I define intelligence as the ability to properly:

-Observe

-Research

-Understand

-Create conclusions

-Communicate understanding

-Change one’s opinions and conclusions when new information is presented

-Adapt (if needed) when new information is presented

-Figure out and think along the lines of what is best for themselves and others

-Perform self-individualization and self-integration

If we simply had the mystic and the entertainer, we wouldn’t have anyone to observe these two and be able to make striking and stunning conclusions that make the rest say “I never thought of that.” If you combine that with proper communication and enthusiastic delivery and you have someone who is regenerative and meaningful, two qualities that enlighten and expand consciousness.

One of the proper paths of the intelligent is to, indeed, become the mystic. However, one quality I encourage you with developed minds to retain is the ability and willingness to communicate your metaphysical findings, which is something the naturally-born mystic may never do.

The Mystic

The Mystic is:

-Conscious of metaphysical happenings

-Meaningful in and of themselves

-In complete control of their mind and their emotions

-Often calm and serene

-Understanding

The mystic is the most important piece of the puzzle, especially if the qualities of the entertainer are present. If the mystic is not entertaining their valuable state of consciousness is probably only experienced by themselves and, therefore, the others do not advance as efficiently as they could with an entertaining delivery of metaphysical matters. Mystics almost never need to enhance their intelligence since they already have what intelligence has to offer, however, I encourage you mystics to communicate your states of consciousness and how others can open their third eye.

As a mystic, becoming a spiritual teacher and an entertainer at the same time is a quality path to go down, or even simply becoming an entertainer! Also, the more we can awaken the three archetypes within each of us the more enlightened we will be!

The Entertainer

The Entertainer is capable of:

-Enthusiasm and enthusiastic delivery

-Confidence

-Being engaging

-Being empathetic

-Making others laugh

If a teacher is not enthusiastic and humorous when they teach, they will bore their students. If a mystic is not entertaining and enthusiastic when they speak of their mystical qualities people will probably consider them strange or even crazy! Entertainment is the part of life people respond to the most, and it’s often the final step before someone else hears a conscious message (the mystic arrives at a stage, the intelligent observes the mystic and communicates about their state, the entertainer reaches out and enhances their communication by injecting it with an enthusiastic, engaging attitude).

If an entertainer has no intelligence and no mystical qualities about them their entertainment will only go so far. I encourage you, entertainers, to develop your intelligence first and your mystical qualities second so that you understand what you’re doing, change what you’re doing if necessary, and know how to do it!

When They’re Added Together

If a quality intelligent, mystic, and entertainer are together they participate in a triangle of knowledge, consciousness, healing, advancement, and laughter! Since an entertainer is in the midst of our fantasy scene the happenings of this group will probably reach other people through social media, thereby enhancing the lives of many who watch it in one or more ways!

For this reason, I argue that it’s very important to have conferences, talks, and interviews with the best in all three ways of life. These can be viewed in real life and through YouTube!

However, the best option is to develop these three qualities within each one of us. We can simultaneously be intelligent, mystic, and entertaining at the same time, and the sooner we realize this and begin to develop these parts of life within ourselves the more meaningful and conscious life we will live!

The Importance Of Each Being Skilled/Talented

I’ve talked about each kind of person developing the other two parts of being, however, it’s also important for an intelligent person to develop their intelligence, a mystic to become as aware as possible, and an entertainer to become as entertaining as possible. This should probably take priority over developing the qualities which are not as developed because being very good in one area of life will open up opportunities to advance into the other areas of life. Plus, it’s great for your ego!

The Potential of Enlightenment and Healing This Way

The potential is limitless! It seems like almost everyone who is none of these three archetypes responds to at least one of these, and responding to at least one of these (hopefully highly-developed) archetypes while possessing none will, at least, give them the potential to enlighten!

If we see and become the best of these three kinds of people we will reach our full potential of enlightenment and healing. Of course, the potential is limitless, and we will reach it at the same time ;).

Conclusion

Thank you for reading! I encourage you to stop reading and do nothing for a little while, then continue reading ;).

Understanding ‘You’ as ‘I’

October 19, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Fact

-Sometimes we project a part of ourselves onto someone else by claiming they are a certain way. For example, I have claimed that others have an “aura of fear,” when I was the one who was in a lot of fear that day.

My Findings

This post will be relatively short because the point I wish to convey is simple yet deep! I want to convey the knowledge that, many a time, when somebody says ‘you’ it simply means ‘I.’

This is a detail that, even when known, goes unnoticed by our conscious minds but often gets noticed (and sometimes taken seriously) by our subconscious minds. For example, I can say, “you really don’t know what you’re doing when you drive around Houston” when in reality I’m the one who found trouble driving around Houston. I simply say ‘you’ because I fail to realize that my experience doesn’t necessarily translate into what your experience will be. You may be a genius at driving through cities you’ve never been to, I don’t know!

Also, I want to point out a potential danger – when influential people speak about their personal experience they should refrain from saying ‘you’ in place of ‘I’ because your following may subconsciously accept what you say and adopt your ways as their own! So if you say, “it’s really hard for you to understand Nietzsche” your audience may take this literally (which is a cute perk of the subconscious, it takes everything literally) and accept it as a truth for them. If this happens their mind will make it difficult for them to understand Nietzsche, even if they’re a genius! However, the opposite can be harnessed as well – you can speak positive things that start with ‘you’ and have them be adopted by their subconscious mind ;).

This is especially the case for people who have low self-esteem or a low sense of self. They can be easily influenced, so if you say “you” instead of “I” they’re more likely to take it personally than someone with a well-developed sense of self.

Watch for this in advertisements! Often they’ll assert an opinion by saying something like, “you know you want to” because they understand what they’re doing. They’re attempting to get your mind to subconsciously think along those lines so that you’ll become a regular customer.

My closing paragraph has to do with vulnerability. Sometimes the fear of vulnerability and rejection can manifest as projection, so you may mean “I don’t like flying” but simply say “you don’t want to fly if you can help it” because you don’t want to put yourself out there. If this is you I suggest disidentifying with your fears, seeing them as opinions, rationally thinking them through, and finding the next step on your journey whether it be transcending them or going further down the rabbit hole.

Conclusion

Thank you for reading, I’m truly grateful that you are here. I’ll see you in the next article!

Entertainment: The Value and Why It’s A Double-Edged Sword

October 17, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-Entertainment can be good for us when consumed in healthy doses.

-We can “entertain ourselves to death” if we watch shows/play games instead of doing what we know we should be doing. Balance is key here!

Intro

Entertainment is one of the most coveted things in America today – well, in most of the world today! Many of us can be found on our phones, watching our TVs, playing video games, going to theaters, doing entertaining things, etc, etc.

Some have even ventured to say that we’re too entertained and that we should cut down a little on the phones. I’d say that entertainment is gaining more and more of a negative connotation as time goes on, and since this is happening I’ll make sure we understand the value of entertainment and why it can be a double-edged sword.

Let’s do it to it!

What Is Entertainment?

Entertainment has taken various forms over the years but it’s always had one common goal – to make people laugh and feel good. Have you ever been watching a YouTube video and you just, feel amazing? Maybe there’s some awesome teamwork going on or someone just did an amazing backflip. If you ever laugh or feel good while in the presence of an entertainer you know they’re doing their job correctly!

There is some biology behind this as well – dopamine and serotonin are two “feel good” chemicals that are produced inside of our body. When we watch a video and start to feel good, it’s likely that we’re experiencing an increase of dopamine and/or serotonin, and it’s even more likely that the entertainer knows the psychology behind releasing these chemicals in their audience.

Making people think they’re at ease, that they’re loved, that they’re desired, that they deserve to laugh is part of the “job description,” if you will. Beliefs are thought patterns that are (usually) emotionally charged, so making an effort to make people laugh will get (at least some of) them to think, “wow he’s making an effort just for me! He’s so funny!” That’s when their body secretes those ever-so-pleasant chemicals we know and love making them feel comfortable, relaxed, entertained.

Sometimes things are entertaining without any effort on the other party’s part – I personally find other people’s road rage to be entertaining, for example. Or if a teacher is teaching a subject and their students feel entertained in the process (usually through enthusiasm). Maybe you’ve wondered, “why is this guy so entertaining?” Well now you know, it’s a combination of trust and a good time!

The Greatness of Entertainment/Entertainers

Entertainment has one solid thing about it – it lifts people out of the drudgery of everyday life and temporarily places them in a kind of paradise. An expert entertainer knows this and consciously performs their act to create these positive feelings, usually by knowing their audience and acting accordingly.

I feel like we take these people for granted sometimes, especially with how many of them are available through social media. I want to stress that proper entertainers are rare and that there are a lot of people who can entertain but aren’t true entertainers. These kinds of people make up 99% of the “entertainment side of the moon.”

The people who seem to benefit from this the most are people who are of the mind. The thinkers, the intelligent ones. Thinking can be fun and useful but a thinker doesn’t have a very stimulating life in general, so watching videos or going out to see a play is a great idea for those who are in their head all day long, it’s a great way to reward themselves.

Entertainment has been around since the beginning of our species and it won’t go away until we cease to exist! A true entertainer is a very valuable person and even being able to make people feel good will get you very far in life, which segways into my next headline.

It’s Not Fundamentally Bad

The negative connotation surrounding entertainment is mostly because of the addictive quality of dopamine. It’s funny how you can become addicted to endorphins that are produced by your own body, but it’s true! Dopamine addiction is a huge reason why porn is so addictive, primal parts of your brain are secreting large amounts of it whenever you switch pornstars because, in your mind, you’re finding new sexual partners to mate with. I encourage you to watch the video series on The Coolidge Effect, it’s really quite fascinating.

Discipline and balance are helpful when it comes to entertainment because, if you over-entertain yourself, you’ll find it difficult to do things that aren’t entertaining – such as work! If you’re used to 5+ hours of entertainment per day it’ll be all you’re thinking about while you’re at work, whereas if you’re only used to 1 or 2 hours you’ll be much less addicted and be able to go for the things you want with less struggle.

Entertainment isn’t fundamentally bad, but over-entertaining yourself is.

The Potential To Over-Entertain Yourself

It happens all the time. I see it everywhere whether it be YouTube, Dish, Netflix, video games… It seems like most of us are addicted to entertainment in one form or another, and it’s fairly alarming to someone like me. It’s easy to sit on the couch and do nothing all day while your brain is busy producing dopamine, but I’m of the opinion that this should be a treat, not a lifestyle!

Getting out of dopamine addiction is hard but very possible, I recommend exercising (for serotonin) and achieving goals that you set for yourself (self-esteem).

Being An Entertainer

Ironically enough, being an entertainer can be the opposite of being entertained – good entertainment often takes effort, talent, and skill, most of the work is behind the scenes whereas only a small portion of it feels good for the entertainer as well.

I like to think about it like this – if you play video games and post them on YouTube you want them to be entertaining for your audience to watch. So nowadays you should have a funny personality, make funny comments and jokes throughout the session. When the video’s done you should probably edit it so that it appears in funny ways. Then you post it on YouTube and figure out where to place advertisements along with the video.

Or, if you’re a band and you want to play a concert you have to set the stage up. If you’re like Rammstein and you want to do crazy stuff a lot of effort goes into making sure everything will go right and that nothing will go wrong. Not to mention the actual performance itself… And the takedown afterward.

Being an entertainer can be a lot of work and even boring at times, depending on your profession! That’s why I want to put this disclaimer here so that you don’t make the same mistake I did – I figured “oh, being entertained is so much fun! Being an entertainer will be even more fun!” Maybe it’s that way for some people but I doubt it’s that way for many!

Finding Balance

A lot of thought should be put into how much entertainment we should give ourselves throughout the day because, if we don’t, it may very well take over our lives and always be at the forefront of our mind.

My thought is this – if you’re being entertained so much that you can’t do the things you know you should… It’s time for a change. If you’re trudging or half-assing your stuff because you’d rather be home watching Valley Girls S2E11 it’s time for a change.

However, if you’re being entertained and you have discipline, you’re getting your stuff done and you’re being mentally and emotionally healthy – go for it!

Find your own balance in this area of life, know your goals, and stick to them so that you don’t fall into a trap that’s pretty difficult to climb out of!

Conclusion

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate it. I’m sure that I’ve helped sort this issue out and I hope you’ll share it around and be cool like that! I’ll see you in the next article!

The Alucard Effect: What’s Great About Hellsing Ultimate

October 16, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Fact

-Alucard is a great character to study, especially when we want to obtain confidence, fearlessness, transformation, a positive sense of eternity, how to consciously embrace our dark side, and more!

Intro

Hellsing Ultimate, the show that shows us the darkest side of human imagination in the most ingenious fashion. It’s not a blood-and-gore flick meant to keep you fixated on sickness but an actual work of art that subtly explains the reasoning behind war and why leaders create it and thrive in it!

Enter Alucard, the main character of the series, a total and complete monster that… Roots for both sides? And goes out of his way to kill for the good guys? Yep and yep! He isn’t the average “killer of the series” that we’ve come across so many times before, he’s much more aware of his situation to be insulted as such! Calling him a “mindless killer” would not only be inaccurate but distasteful once his true nature is revealed, and I argue that his character contains many qualities which we can observe and benefit from!

Fair warning! This post will contain spoilers of the show, I highly encourage you to watch it before reading the rest of this post.

About The Show

Hellsing Ultimate takes place in England sometime in the late 1990s (depending on which timeline you follow) where supernatural beings are the norm and dark, misty nights are revered by all (apparently). Sir Integra, directly funded by the Queen, is in charge of keeping these abominable threats from taking the lives of millions. However, Integra is only human while these creatures are immortal and impossible to kill, so how is she supposed to keep these monsters at bay?

With a monster, of course!

Her father died and made her heir to the throne. His brother, who was standing next to him when he uttered the words on his deathbed, set himself to kill Integra since he was “supposed” to be the successor. Really he just wanted the money and power.

He chases Integra to the basement where there lies a creature that appears to be dead, in a straight jacket. He shoots her in the shoulder and some of her blood lands next to its feet, and to everyone’s surprise, the creature begins lapping it up and using it as food to gain energy. He then proceeds to protect Integra and kill her assailants while taking many pistol shots to the face in the process, thereby sparking the master/slave relationship between Integra and Alucard and a way for her to fulfill her newly found responsibility.

As the show progresses and the threats become more intense we see Alucard give away some of his character. Mind you, he’s not developing, he’s giving it away – a welcome breath of fresh air in an era of “he started out like crap and now he’s completely on top of everything” which grows old and stagnant after a while.

And what he gives away is so solid and so applicable that I couldn’t help but share it with you today! So buckle up and prepare for some of the most cinematic genius the world’s ever seen!

He’s Not Afraid To Kill. And He Does. A Lot.

This is the most in-your-face quality about Alucard that turns many people away – his kill count. I won’t spoil it for you but he’s definitely racked up a couple of lifetime sentences between his gun, his brute strength, and his superpowers, not to mention the fear he instills in people upon his arrival.

Granted, it’s his job to kill supernatural threats, but there’s a big difference between killing because it’s your job and killing for sport. Alucard admits he kills for fun, and that’s early on in the series – he has no bones about it!

Something we can take away from this mindset is that going through the desire to harm, in our minds, while suspending judgment is actually a healthy thing to do! Maybe we shouldn’t act it out, but we do have a collective “okayness” with killing and death because of our primal past, something which shouldn’t be denied and should be accepted in stride!

He Has No Fear

None whatsoever. This is his greatest quality, in my opinion, his fear of death is completely and utterly not there.

Most of us alive today are afraid of fear, evil, and suffering. We avoid it like the plague and any mention of it brings a certain sickness to our stomachs – not Alucard. He simply goes and does what he wants to do, often smiling and laughing in the process. It’s quite remarkable really, considering the dark things he’s tasked with doing.

This is a huge takeaway for us – having no fear in our system is the equivalent of being enlightened, that is, we feel “light” because there is the absence of “heaviness” (fear). Just because we don’t fear something like killing or death doesn’t necessarily mean we should do it, it’s simply an alternative to being bogged down by suffering.

He Is Fear

This may seem like a contradiction to what I just wrote, but it makes sense in a certain way. If someone like Alucard decides to completely accept fear and turn it into seriousness he will be filled to the brim with fear and be fearless at the same time. He is completely okay with feeling fear (even if it’s only the fear of his enemies) and therefore transcends it by “becoming” it, by being himself in its presence, by acting through it.

How we can apply this in our everyday lives is by accepting the things we cannot change – for example, there will always be death. If we accept death then we accept the fear of death, and if we accept the fear of death we can transcend it.

His Confidence Is Off The Charts

This guy… Has no bounds to his confidence. None at all.

Later on in the series, he’s stranded on a warcraft carrier because he crashed his aircraft into it and killed an enemy of war. He floats on the remains of his ship to England where he’s met with WWIII, two different armies attacking the same city. He leaps off of his ship and lands in the middle of both armies, smiling a devilish smile as the two warlords approach him and grimace, inches from his face.

He’s unstoppable, so why wouldn’t he?

Many of us today are not confident for one reason or another. Part of it has to do with propaganda, part of it has to do with detrimental beliefs, and part of it has to do with lack of proper experience. Choosing to have the kind of confidence that Alucard possesses, the confidence of someone who is truly unstoppable, is a serious advantage in life and a fantastic way to experience wellbeing.

He Fully Embraces His Desire To Be a Monster

He doesn’t hide it one bit! At the end of the series, his arch-rival is about to turn himself into a monster to defeat Alucard. Alucard says (paraphrasing), “Do not turn yourself into a monster who could not bear the weight of humanity, as I have. Only a human can defeat a monster like me.”

This goes hand-in-hand with what I’ve written above – does he care what other people think? Not really! Does he care that other people consider it wrong to kill, maim, and murder? Nope! He has no gripes with being a monster, and this is something we can sort of apply in our lives as well; we embrace our desire to become the thing we wish to become, even if it happens to be a monster. The opposite is suppressing our desires, and this brings undesirable results – it’s far better to know what we truly desire so that we can think it through rationally.

He’s Been Through The Deepest Metamorphosis From Fear to Self/Selflessness

Near the end of the series, he speaks to Walter since Walter considers Alucard his “monster to defeat.” He explains that, by facing him, Walter is going through “the metamorphosis that we all went through (speaking about himself, the main warlord, and his arch-rival),” a metamorphosis that began with extreme suffering, lead to extreme fear, lead to extreme anger, and finally ended with the end result – a fearless monster. This metamorphosis isn’t just science fiction – it’s a process that can happen in real life as well.

When someone goes through, for example, extreme poverty, they probably live in a lot of fear. Sometimes this fear can turn into anger since anger is supposed to be primal energy that keeps the fear from becoming reality. Anger, then, leads people to do shady things such as joining gangs, robbing people, homicide, etc etc. They become fearless monsters, and yet they’re completely consumed by their fear and anger.

The takeaway from this is subtler than I like it to be – instead if going through the process of fear → anger → monster in the physical world, we should go through the process only in our minds. Some of us have so much momentum going in this direction that positivity is a no-go, so going through the metamorphosis in our minds (without letting it manifest in the physical world) is the next best thing. Plus, it looks cooler this way.

He Has (Almost) No Mental Boundaries (No Societal Boundaries/Pressures)

He has a few boundaries – he doesn’t use his full power unless he consciously drops his limits and he has to obey Sir Integra. Other than that he’s boundless, and having a boundless mind is the equivalent of having a completely free and fearless life.

Strangely Enough, Despite All Of This, He’s Fully Conscious

“But Gabriel, a killer can’t possibly be fully conscious and awake! That’s just not right!”

…Except he knows about and consciously acknowledges the 3rd eye.

In the middle of the series, his apprentice is tasked with holding down the fort against an army of Nazi vampires with an army of hired hands. Everything goes great until the leader of the army starts attacking them – and she’s 100 feet tall, immune to their weapons, and wielding a giant scythe! They don’t stand a chance, not one, molecule of a chance!

His apprentice begins to telepathically communicate with Alucard while he’s on the ship… First of all, they’re telepathically communicating while he’s on the ship!

She begins to give him the rundown of the situation and he tells her, “you have a 3rd eye. You should use it! It’s just an illusion!” She opens her 3rd eye, sees that the actual woman is 6′ instead of 100′, and shoots her while inside the mansion. The 100-foot behemoth begins to topple, and the “damage” she created was “reversed” instantly.

This is the most stunning and direct instance proving that his 3rd eye is blasted open but the entire show gives it away too – his interaction with the other characters really brings his own character to light, one that is completely aware and completely conscious of the entire situation at all times. It really makes me wonder, “how awake can we really be until we truly answer the question, ‘why not kill?'”

The Alucard Effect

Combining all of these characteristics produces The Alucard Effect – IE, someone who’s confident, fearless, monstrous, able and willing to act, and strangely wise all at the same time.

I am of the opinion that doing some introspection while watching Hellsing Ultimate is an amazing way to be even more mentally healthy than we already are. For example, asking ourselves questions such as “why is this show so intriguing, exactly? Which characteristics do I want to expand on in my life? How can I be more awake? Do I desire to be a monster and/or do monstrous things?” may hurt or be uncomfortable at first. But, choosing to give yourself the qualities you desire is the first step to achieve/expand on your mental health! I recommend you watch the show, the entirety is an amazing work of art!

Conclusion

Thank you for reading! This is a different kind of post, but I had a lot of fun writing it. Let me know if you want to see more like this! I’ll see you in the next article 🙂
