Self-Improvement and Realization – Why One Works and the Other Doesn’t

January 29, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-Self-improvement is where we improve our skills, and self-realization is realizing who we already are.

-Self-realization is what happens when we look into our inner world and realize ourselves!

-SR is often greater than self-improvement since self-improvement ultimately leads to the opportunity to realize ourselves.

-Identifying with ‘the improver’ almost always makes it more difficult to improve ourselves to the furthest extent we’re capable of!

-When we realize who we truly are, we almost always see how beautiful we truly are…

Intro

We see the call for self-improvement everywhere – schools, colleges, gyms, workplaces, training programs, various kinds of sports, and of course the infamous “self-improvement” communities that are scattered around if you look hard enough.

The game of self-improvement has become the game to play when I speak for American society, and if you show no interest in the game then finding people you can befriend will be difficult since everybody is busy “improving” themselves in one way or another.

It’s also come to my attention that some of my writings come dangerously close to saying something to the extent of, “You should improve yourself in order to feel better.” This is not the intention of my writings; my writings exist to help you find the silence in your life, whether that means a silent mind, a change of environment, wisdom to help you handle your chatty friends and family, etc.

Today I’d like to make a case against self-improvement and for self-realization, since I have observed “realized” people and “self-improvement” people and have come to the conclusion that realized people generally have better lives than self-improvement people (please note that the word “better” implies that self-improvement must take place in order for an individual to become realized. This is not the case and I simply use it for lack of terminology).

I’ll articulate the two main problems with self-improvement and then I’ll explain what I mean when I say that somebody should “realize” themselves. Grab your popcorn because this one’s going to be fun!

The Improver

The idea of improving yourself is simple; you start out at point A and you want to get to point B. However, since you don’t have the presence of mind, physical fitness, or confidence to do such a thing you need to improve yourself in order to do so, and this can be done through schooling, studying through other means, working out, having somebody train you, going to yoga class, or even meditation.

Of course, the end result of this improvement is a feeling of competence, confidence, and worthiness in the society in which you live (which you can have right now if you choose to, but more on that below). However, there’s one small problem with this; if you’re improving yourself then who is improving the improver? And of course who is improving the improver of the improver?

This gets pretty trippy if you’re the one improving yourself because eventually, you have to ask, “Which part of me is improving and which part of me is the improver? And which part of me is responsible for improving the improver, and which part of me is responsible for improving the improver of the improver?!”

We can already see that self-improvement cannot work because every improver needs improving, and who is going to improve the final improver? We can argue that a circle of people can manage to improve each-other as a group, and while that is possible there is still one more problem…

Pain

To “improve yourself” you must go through the “struggle” or the “tunnel” or whatever one might call it so that he or she can be more steady and secure in the future. This means going through a lot of pain (physically, psychologically, or both) in order to train your body, go to school, work those long hours, or whatever it is you do.

This is a tragic model of life because it simply doesn’t work like this. Pain leads to more pain and pleasure leads to more pleasure. If you’re experiencing pain as a result of trying to improve yourself then it’s more than likely that you’ll end up in a place of responsibility that produces more of the feeling you want to feel! In other words, you want to feel the pain that you feel when you go through “self-improvement” then who’s to say that you don’t want it to go away when you’ve “fully improved,” if you even get to that point?

It should be noted that learning/doing something because you’re interested in it is not the same as learning/doing something because you think you “have to;” if you work out, study, etc because it’s interesting to you then more power to you. I am mainly speaking about those who do something because “it’s good for them;” this mindset points to an unspoken assumption that can be summed up in a sentence such as “I am no good as I am and I need to be better.”

The Realization

This assumption, “I am no good as I am and I need to be better” is simply a thought, a feeling of shame, or both. When the self-improver realizes this he or she becomes liberated from the cycle and their emotional pain turns into a feeling of relief as if they had just dropped their backpack after a twenty-mile hike.

I make the case for self-realization because it is the actual antidote to self-improvement! If someone really thought it through they would realize that they never had to improve because they’ve always known what they’ve wanted to do all along, and it probably didn’t have anything to do with what they were doing to “improve” themselves at all.

How Do I Realize Myself?

It’s important to consciously shift your mindset from the “improver” to the “realizer” because otherwise, the heading above will sound like another tactic for self-improvement. However, realizing your self is simple; pay attention to your thoughts, your feelings, and your environment around you. Pay attention to the one who pays attention to your thoughts, and then pay attention to that one. This is meditation at its core; it is not a tool but a state of understanding yourself and the world around you.

Doing this is frighteningly simple, and when you realize that you can start manifesting your own feelings into your life (competence, confidence, worthiness, connection, love, bliss, you name it!) then people will start to heal simply by standing in your presence on their own path towards realizing the same thing. It’s truly wonderful.

The Urgency

I urgently encourage you to shift your mindset from the “improver” to the “realizer” as quickly as possible. We (Americans, at least) are in a society that is so greatly focused on self-improvement that they’re hurting themselves and everybody/everything else around them.

Instead of this, it’s very important to seek self-realization and to develop an understanding of the world inside of them and the world around them while consciously deciding to do away with self-improvement.

This is a vital change that must happen soon if we’re going to thrive as a species, and it starts with you, the reader. Or readers. It’s possible that more than one person is reading this post on the same computer. I don’t know :).

Conclusion

Thank you so much for reading my article! I greatly appreciate you being here, and I’ll see you in the next one :).

What Is Meaning? A Look at Meaning, What It Is, and How To Find It For Yourself

January 24, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-Meaning can be experienced as a felt, emotional experience, one that many people seek to feel every day.

-You can decide what is meaningful for yourself! On the same token, you can ‘disidentify’ from the belief that anything you consider to be void of meaning is, indeed, void of meaning; this greatly helps our emotional states!

Intro

Some of us are unaware of it; some of us are searching for it; some of us have no idea what we’re doing, and some of us already know what meaning really is.

Today, we’ll explain meaning. We’ll clear up any confusion that exists in the present, and we’ll definitely clear any potential confusion that may exist in the near future!

What Is Meaning?

We all know (or have seen) certain people who are inexplicably “brilliant” in one form or another. Maybe they have a charismatic personality, maybe they are very interesting to talk to, maybe they seem very emotionally intelligent, etc, etc.

They tend to “light a fire” within us for a brief moment while we’re in their presence, and then we go about our daily lives and the feeling has vanished. What’s happened here is you talked with a person who has discovered their own path to a meaningful life and has followed it to some extent.

Unfortunately, “piggybacking” off of someone’s meaning can only happen while you’re in their presence; if you haven’t found your own path to a meaningful life it will fade into who you’ve been up until that point (hopefully with a slight change towards the positive).

These people aren’t special, they aren’t necessarily gifted, and they certainly aren’t worth bowing down to or making a religion after. Rather, these are people who live in the felt experience of meaning. They have (mostly consciously, sometimes unconsciously) found what means the most to them in life and they simply go for it and see what happens. (This usually works out; there are rare instances where it doesn’t, but for people who don’t find meaning in the things they consciously pursue they find it in another area of life.)

In one of my more recent posts (The Primacy of Spoken Language) I mention how words are keys that unlock certain images and/or feelings for an individual. However, these realities are mostly realized when you decide you want to realize them.

I can say that a meaningful life is a life lived while feeling the felt experience that the word “meaning” points to, which seems to be more or less the same experience for everybody the more and more they chase meaning, but it doesn’t mean anything to you unless you feel it for yourself.

With this realization, you can start to visualize what a meaningful life may look like for you, and this is a good segue into the next paragraph.

Meaning Is Found Within Yourself

Intuition is you telling yourself information that you ought to know. If you find something or someone meaningful then you’re telling yourself that this thing/person is good for you and that you want (or even need) more of it/to spend more time with that person. Since intuition is mostly a subjective phenomenon we can conclude that meaning is to be obtained by looking within.

I put great emphasis on this because some say that looking within does not provide anything helpful for them and that it may indeed make their current situation quite worse. Usually, these kinds of people’s life journeys center around learning about intuition and learning how to listen to it, as their resistance is quite strong. However I must fully disagree with the statement, “Looking into myself will only make things worse,” “Medication is a bunch of bogus,” “I’ve tried that before and nothing happened” or any variant thereof because of the nature of the argument itself.

If someone goes into a meditative state while “doubting that it’ll work” they probably will not grow in this area of life because the doubt is actually an intention. And, of course, if you intend to make something work (or to keep something from working) you will be as diligent as possible to produce your desired outcome, consciously and/or unconsciously. You have more power than you suspect :).

It may seem strange that a doubt is the same as an intention, however, the word “doubt” and the word “intention” have the possibility to point to the same felt experience which can be aptly named “maliciousness.” If “maliciousness” is prominent (either consciously or subconsciously) within an individual their doubts and their intentions must consciously be separated from one another in order for their maliciousness to become realized. Once this is done intuition may flow freely if the individual consciously gives it any level of prominence in their conscious mind.

We’ve probably heard this before, but maybe we haven’t; as soon as you consciously decide to live a meaningful life you have taken the first step towards living a meaningful life. This is done by thinking the words, speaking the words, writing them out… “I choose to live a meaningful life.”

It’s usually a quiet choice with little involvement from other people, and from then on you’re searching (whether consciously or unconsciously) for meaning.

This is when you begin to separate the wheat from the shaft… “I don’t like my job because it’s pointless, but I do enjoy playing the guitar… Maybe I should do that more often.” This may go on for a while until you begin to listen to your intuition and do the things/be around the people that help you feel better about your life.

Once this goes on for a while the very thing that gave you life may now only give you suffering, and then it’s time to ask yourself what the next step is. “I used to like playing the guitar, but now I want to go into public speaking.” This can happen infinitely until a (or multiple) higher realization(s) takes place, one of which may be that meaning is an end result of listening to your intuition.

This is an important realization because at this point you will have felt meaning and gone back to your old ways. If this happens then the realization that intuition can guide the way back to the feeling the answer is relieving since the path is known once again.

And That’s It!

I emphasize this because “meaning” is simply a word that points to a feeling. The feeling itself can change, sometimes rapidly and sometimes over a long period of time, but it is simply an emphasized feeling. Trying to over-complicate it only leads you further away from meaning, and this is very important to know at all points throughout your life.

This (quite short) post is a launching pad to start your own journey towards living inside of meaning. If you’ve already begun then I suspect these words will only be like music instead of an enlightening experience, and if you’re already there then I suspect reading this felt like a timeless void of bliss, just like everything else does. Have a great rest of your day!

Intuition: The Basics and Beyond

January 23, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-Intuition is you telling yourself what you ought to know for the moment! It can also lead you to a full understanding of the irrational mind!

-You can tell yourself information that’s in your subconscious, information you’ve learned before but since “forgotten.”

-Anger can masquerade as intuition, but remember, intuition always has a higher vibration than anger, so if you aren’t sure, then pay attention to how you feel!

-American society often neglects intuition for other, less important things, feelings, concepts, and people.

-Intuition leads to a mental state that’s beyond itself, and once you get there, you won’t experience it anymore!

Intro

Before I begin I must note that this post is a very difficult article to create; explaining information gathered by intuitive means is fairly simple, but explaining how intuition works and why it’s important for today’s society is something different altogether.

I will not explain what intuition is perfectly, and if you see something and feel it to be false it is for one of two reasons. One, I have explained something incorrectly and your “lie detector” is going off, or two, what I’ve said is true enough to raise resistance that exists within yourself. In either case, you will benefit from these words as long as they are spoken from my own personal truth, which I intend to write alongside. And so we begin!

What Is Intuition?

Intuition is the knowledge that is accessed from various dimensions of the mind/your self with the sole purpose of leading you into the full realization of the irrational mind, or what to do in any given situation. This is done by one part of your self (often referred to as “higher self” but in reality is only another part of self) sending a message to another part of your self.

Intuition is feeling-based. if something or someone feels “off” or feels “right,” that’s intuition at work. It can manifest as a voice in your head (“take the long way to work today”), as a meaningful image (“that painting looks absolutely stunning. I should paint more”), as a feeling (“that person feels approachable”), or any combination of the three (which we normally call an “experience”).

It’s often known as knowledge gained from looking within. That is to say, knowledge that is given to yourself from yourself and not from somebody else to yourself.

If you ask yourself, “What should I do today,” the answer you receive will be an intuitive answer by nature (so long as it wasn’t answered by somebody else), and doing this often will build trust with yourself which will bring you into new levels of realization.

Why Is Intuition Important?

Intuition (from what I can tell) serves to change one’s perspective, geographical area, and/or general feelings about life. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a voice tell me to do some random thing and have it work out for the best – and vice versa.

When people say “listen to your gut” they know what they’re talking about, because they know that listening to their gut at least makes them feel more fulfilled at that moment and that ignoring it makes them feel guilty, almost as if they just did a disservice to themselves.

The reason I put emphasis on this is that intuition often asks for irrational acts that don’t seem to have a point, or that even defy logic completely, such as walking down a few extra aisles at the grocery store or stopping to look at something that you’d normally bypass.

Listening to it will seem completely out of the question for the rational mind, but intuition is (at least in these times) a call to balance the rational mind with the irrational mind since we tend to favor the rational over the irrational and since balance is required between all dualities in order for their existence to continue.

Intuition can bring you out of sketchy situations, bring you to do things that are necessary for your growth, put you in the presence of people you need to be with, give you the experience you need to have at that moment. It’s an absolute must because it’s you telling yourself what you need to know, and it teaches you lessons that you couldn’t possibly learn from anybody else.

Intuition and American Society

American society is largely unaware of the concept of intuition, much less how it works or what it does. On top of this, intuition is dismissed by some who are aware of its presence.  But, this usually doesn’t last long since intuition shouts louder and louder the more it is ignored.

I’ve noticed that the more intuitive somebody is the more isolated they are. This seems to be in direct correlation with American society favoring the rational mind over the irrational mind, which leads to intuition being undervalued, which leads to intuitive people being undervalued.

The resistance to intuition is very strong and largely unconscious but it’s slowly eroding away as people begin to act in more chaotic fashions and without much rhyme or reason.

However, this too is unconscious. Most people do not seem to realize their chaotic tendencies until they begin to negatively affect aspects of their conscious life.

This too is slowly changing thanks to our lifestyle becoming more sedentary than ever before in the history of mankind. This also allows for the opportunity to experience intuitive happenings, however, this is mostly a missed opportunity since Americans tend to keep themselves busy all hours of the day, and so intuition stays ignored and the irrational mind stays unrealized.

The intuitive must be seen as a temporary voice of intuition for the non-intuitive until the latter can find their intuitive information through their own power; after this happens there won’t be any need to separate between intuitive and non-intuitive people, we’ll simply be known as “people.”

It’s also come to my attention that intuitive people tend to lack a general sense of self. That is to say, they haven’t realized as much of the irrational mind as they would have liked to by that point.

It’s very important for these people, in particular, to be confident in their abilities to guide others, because the intuitive who realizes they have a long journey into completing their growth has almost completely realized the irrational mind, and now they must learn to completely balance the irrational mind with the rational mind.

This can be done by helping the rationally minded to vibrationally ascend whilst observing, learning from, and applying any parts of their rationally minded aspects to your life. After all, helping the rationally minded to raise their vibration will help you see the rationality in yourself, and this is the key for you (the intuitive) to find balance and feel like your job is complete.

It is also possible to balance your own rational and irrational mind without helping other rationally minded people, however, this is a rare occurrence that requires an even more specially gifted individual to complete.

However, if one can balance the rational and irrational mind within themselves without any assistance (after the conscious decision has been made to do such) they will have the greatest realization (for lack of better wording) out of the entire human race.

Most intuitives require assistance to balance the rational and irrational mind, however, once this is done they become as complete of a person as they could possibly be, and so they spread understanding in the most complete manner possible.

Where Does Intuition Lead?

The specific end result of listening to your intuition will be unique for you and you alone, however listening to it will lead you into further realization of the mind in one way or another.

Some religions claim to help you with this by advertising peace and tranquility, however, it is ultimately your choice to make and your journey to live if you wish to listen to your intuition.

The road will be rough and windy with a chance of thunder and lightning at first, but you will eventually find yourself in a place (whether physically, mentally, or both) that you just want to tell other people about.

Imagine living in a mental state that you want to tell other people about… That is the bliss of following your intuition.

For Those Already On The Path

It is important to realize that swimming through the different dimensions of the mind has no end unless you decide to stop doing it.

Once your lessons have been learned and your peace has been felt it will be time to arrive at the place you’ve always wanted to be, and then the disturbing dreams will shift into something less extreme and your life will begin to mellow on the mental level and become more active on the physical level.

At one point you may not want to help other people. You may consider yourself a retired soldier, and indeed you are, but further exploration via intuitive investigation will eventually lead you to the people who need and want your help, and this is where you shine the most.

For Those Already There…

Keep going!

Conclusion

While intuition isn’t understood/is misunderstood by most of the American population, its benefits are far beyond anyone’s wildest imagination, and the information it provides will help provide a balance between the rational and irrational mind that is sorely needed at this point in time.

It is another step in the right direction, one that I hope we sooner rather than later for sanity’s sake.

What Is God (Or, Rather, What Isn’t)?

January 20, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-Many people find God when they say neti neti (not this, not that), and when they discover that they, themselves, are God!

-Many people believe in God, even though they’ve never seen or experienced God!

The Answer

The popularity of religion is widely spread all over the world. To some, the truth lies within the bible, with others, the Quran, with some their god(s) lie within totems and idols, and some don’t believe in anything at all.

It’s important to note that God cannot be found by searching, even by searching within yourself. Meditation, yoga, insight, self-referencing – all of these practices can be enlightening to an extent, but if one (consciously or subconsciously) practices meditation then there is most likely an underlying assumption which looks something like, “I’m not good enough and I need improvement.”

If someone has this subconscious assumption then fully realizing, accepting, and changing this assumption will bring you closer to God than the practice itself.

If God cannot be found by searching, what is to be done? Nothing, of course.

However, this is easier said than done depending on your surrounding environment – if you’re reading this then you probably have a job, some friends and family, a couple of hobbies, etc etc.

If you realize that nothing is to be done, however, you would either become depressed and nihilistic or liberated and enlightened. However, neither of these realizations are permanent; they will, sooner or later, be replaced with the question, “Am I God?” which will bring forth an answer that will bring you closer to God.

Any thoughts separate yourself from God simply because any act of separation moves one further away from God. This includes subconscious thinking which makes up most of our thought process. If one finds meaning in finding and examining their subconscious thought processes they are finding their way to God through realizing how they have separated from all that is.

God cannot be fully justified by conception, and therefore cannot be fully worshiped. If someone worships anything (whether it be a physical object, a thought, a feeling, a conception, etc) they are worshiping an idol unless they have realized that everything is connected and part of a whole. Only then can we come as close to worshiping God as humanly possible.

However, God does not need worship – it is possible to find God and then forget it ever happened. If someone finds God and forgets it ever happened they must find God through another area of their life for one reason or another. If they take the path they traversed before they will find themselves in hell.

The purest of light, the most harmonious music, the greatest of thoughts, the most wondrous sight, the most meaningful visions, the most wonderful insights, the greatest realizations, and the most aligning experiences will bring you further away from God and instead bring you into something else that is.

That is to say, we may use the word “God” as a description for a certain reality, however, there are other experiences that we don’t label with the word “God” (or perhaps, “godly,” “heavenly,” “of the lord”) and these are simply other variations of what is.

This realization (that the word “God” simply points to a certain emotional, conceptual, physical, or spiritual reality) liberates the religious man from himself, and he discovers a hidden part of himself at the same time.

Conclusion

And so I say this with great pleasure; God, as it seems to most, cannot be found through hearing, seeing, touching, feeling, tasting, or sense. However, when you realize this your next realization is that you are capable of doing what you thought you needed God to do.

When this is fully realized a felt harmony begins to show itself, and the felt experience surrounding the word “God” becomes a separate experience altogether, one which can be accessed at any time, and something that the religious man does not “need” to experience anymore. Peace may now be felt, and life continues as it always has!

Truth As Reality – Why You Should Tell The Truth

January 17, 2020 by Gabe Leave a Comment

Quick Facts

-The word ‘truth’ can point to a concept (“she’s telling the truth,”), a felt emotional state that we can live in, or both!

-It’s possible to be innocent and not know the truth, but to know the truth and ignore it is a whole ‘nother ball game.

Intro

Today I’ll be writing about my discoveries about truth, and why it’s one way we can live a (mentally) healthy life. I’ll be writing about the extent I went to to get this information, and how we can think about truth from a different (and I argue better) perspective. Enjoy the read!

The Incident

Some of us instinctively suspect that telling the truth is better than lying. People who lie often have terrible lives in one way or another, but I wanted to know why that is; I wanted to know why there is such a tremendous penalty for lying and such a rewarding experience for telling the truth. I’ve put a lot of research into this post, and what I mean by that is I let myself spend some time in county jail to observe the people who were there.

No, I didn’t ask the guards if I could stay in a cell for the night; I let myself get caught and charged with possession of psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana, which landed me in prison the “legitimate” way. I was only there for 5 days, which seems like a shame, but here’s what happened. I was put in the same cell as a “war vet” (that’s what he called himself, but I’m not sure if that’s the truth).

He showed me scars on his head from a bullet wound, scarring on his chest from open-heart surgery, and what was supposedly a bullet in his knee. His first two scars held true – there was a scar behind his ear that was definitely from a bullet zinging past his head, and there was a scar on his chest that was definitely from open-heart surgery. However, his behavior over the five days was interesting – it was as if he had to prove something to me and that he couldn’t take no for an answer.

He kept telling me about the war and how gruesome it was; he kept telling me about his PTSD, how many prisons he had been to, that he was homeless by choice, that he had a part-time job, and the only reason he was there was because of a drinking problem… In other words, he wouldn’t speak unless he was building himself up. He listened to what I had to say with one ear open and the other closed. That meant helping him solve his problems was out of the question; I simply listened while he spoke and provided emotional healing whenever I could. The others in the jail were more corrupt but only two are notable, and since I never learned their names we can call them Bobby and Randy.

Both of these guys were on their way to state prison, and one of them had been sentenced to 14 months in the county jail alone, which was slightly unusual. They were allowed to spend a lot of time in the main room since they were sentenced to prison. Because of this, Bobby was able to walk around the main room – and did so, constantly. He (seemingly without a care in the world) walked along the outside of our cell doors as if he were the guard making sure we didn’t escape. The reason I say this is because I made sure to stare at him whenever he would pass my cell door, and if he met my eyes I could see the frightened child he was trying to hide.

Randy never did this, but there was something strange about him as well; he was trying (and failing miserably) to play the fool by laughing it off. He disregarded everyone as foolish as well, and often his laughter had a tinge of sadness thrown in there for anyone who was listening closely. Now, these two were best buds, and for good reason – they had never met outside of the prison, but somehow it seemed like they knew each other as childhood friends. They talked for hours and hours about prisons, deep Mexico, where they’ve been, and what they’ve done…

The chatter only ceased when they were in their individual cells or eating their meals. They managed to piss the rest of us off quite successfully.

These guys had something to prove; Bobby had to prove that he was the man by patrolling our cells and Randy had to prove that he wasn’t a complete fool by telling us about his experience and his knowledge. When they met each other in jail they saw each other as “friends” because they were very sad at the core of their being.

This happened on a subconscious level, of course – if they had been conscious of their efforts to cover up their sadness they probably wouldn’t have committed the crimes that got them locked up in the first place.

Having Something To Prove vs. Telling The Truth

Outside of jail, I’ve seen many people share the information they know to cover something we aren’t supposed to see. It’s often unknown to the individual that they’re doing this, and if you ask them what they’re hiding and why they’ll look at you suspiciously as if you were the monster. Enter: Being knowingly ignorant vs. being innocently ignorant.

Being truly ignorant means having absolutely no idea as to the truth of the situation while being knowingly ignorant means ignoring something that you don’t want to face.

All of us are innocently ignorant of many aspects of existence but only some of us are intentionally hiding (probably also ignoring) something. If we hide something (doesn’t matter what it is) we’re concerned about our own safety, but perhaps it’s best to figure out what you’re hiding if you don’t already know and ask yourself, “Why am I hiding this exactly? What do I gain from this?”Otherwise, it starts to build up.

You’ll start to become afraid of other people exposing your secret and you’ll feel the ever-growing need to prove yourself so that the thing can stay hidden. This, then, begins to build and build and build until you find yourself in prison, wondering why society has to be so messed up while probably boiling up in a cauldron of resentment.

The Truth

Once someone thinks it all the way through something interesting happens; they often decide that lying can only bring about unnecessary suffering, so they start telling the truth. Usually, it stings at first, and their friends and family look at them as if they were from another planet – however, somehow this pain feels better than the pain they felt before; this kind of pain is justifiable since they are telling the truth. And, of course, the initial sting slowly transforms into a kind of confidence and self-worth that people can’t help but admire and appreciate.

But why, exactly? Why does covering something up land you in prison and why does telling the truth garner respect? It is simply because lying and truth-telling are both words that point to actual variations of the felt reality. When you lie you are cultivating and living in the felt experience that people tend to label, “Shady, suspicious, sketchy,” etc. When you tell the truth, however, you are cultivating and living in the felt experience labeled as, “Honorable, respectful, reliable,” etc etc.

This is the fact that most of us don’t know; some of us think we should get what we want, however, we don’t. One thing to know, however, is that the means of obtaining what you want will determine the emotional reality you cultivate while you’re reaching for your goal. We’ve all held on to a lie and had it eat us up on the inside and we’ve all told somebody the truth and felt amazing while we did so.

Conclusion

If one were to ask themselves, “What am I hiding and why” and answer themselves honestly and truthfully, something good will begin to happen. If you consciously decide to live in truth all of the time you will begin to see the beauty in life and you will begin to succeed in every way imaginable. Perhaps you already have; if that’s the case then you know what I mean 🙂
